Women’s health issues, reproductive, sexual, emotional, mental, and spiritual, are of great interest to her, as well, with her favorite being the power of acupuncture to help balance and heal the mental/emotional/spiritual axis.

Justine spends most of her time with the people she loves and her 10-year-old son. She is also working towards finishing her Chinese herbal studies to deepen her understanding of Chinese medicine. Justine lives in the Passyunk Square neighborhood, proudly representing 19148!

Laura is our clinic manager and lover of all things color coded, especially spreadsheets. It's safe to say she is the glue to our office, as she holds it together! She will be graduating this year with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Nutrition and is also a licensed esthetician in the midst of developing her own line of organic skincare.

Laura has a passion for natural living and DIY. She loves cookies, cats, and buying clothes off Poshmark. Laura is also a trained doula and although she is not currently practicing, she's obsessed with pregnancy, birth and BABIES!

Sue is our retail and marketing coordinator, as well as our clinic designer, resident photog and plant caregiver. She is also part of the reception team and long-time patient of South Philly Community Acupuncture.

Sue hails from New Orleans, but has made Philadelphia her home after a short stint in Portland, Oregon. Sue lives in a doll house in South Philly with her librarian husband, Nathaniel, and their adorable cats, Pepper and Lulu. She is a thrift store scout, fashion addict, nature lover, globe trekker and cancer survivor. When she's not beautifying the clinic, you can find her listening to records, twirling around in vintage dresses or daydreaming about her next adventure.

Samm started receiving acupuncture here at our clinic in 2012, she quickly became addicted and then started as our receptionist/social media coordinator/placenta specialist in 2014. She is happy to call South Philadelphia Community Acupuncture her home away from home.

Samm is studying to become a CPM, certified professional midwife. She has a passion for women's health and is the owner of Wanderlust Birth & Photo where she offers her services as a doula, birth photographer, childbirth educator and placenta encapsulator. When she's not at the clinic or a birth, she is spending time with her partner, John (who is also an acupuncture junkie) and their son Indigo and fur baby Roofus.

Sara is our token millennial weekend receptionist. She is a recent Temple University graduate where she studied Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. Sara is currently in the process of applying to med schools in our area.

She hopes to incorporate the holistic model of care that we use in our clinic in her medical practice one day. She has a strong interest in psychological disorders, gastrointestinal issues and autoimmune diseases. In her spare time she enjoys being a foodie, getting acupuncture and hanging out with her boyfriend Sean and their pet bunny, Cow.
